Richard Jacobs

A country bloke, born and raised in Waipukurau, with an eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional work.

"Richard started his career at Stevenson & Taylor where he spent seven years engineering solutions for the agricultural and building industry. 

After completing his apprenticeship and gaining a wealth of experience, Richard made the trip across the ditch where he commenced work as a maintenance engineer in the Queensland mines maintaining heavy duty machinery. 

It wasn't long before Richard was presented a dream job and accepted a position working in the V8 supercar industry for Tasman Motorsport in 2007. Over the next 10 years, Richard worked for two supercar teams including most recently Prodrive/Tickford Racing and was responsible for manufacturing some of the most advanced racing components including race chassis and exhaust systems.

In 2016, Richard returned to Hawke's Bay to establish Tube Worx; a one stop tube bending and fabrication service to continue his passion in engineering.

Richard's colleagues throughout his career will attest to the calibre of work he is able to produce. He has a unique skill set that raises the bar in the industry and when combined with his passion and relentless focus on quality, results in work that is both highly functional and incredibly impressive.
